Angie Katsanevas, a star of "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," has broken her silence regarding her separation from her estranged husband, Shawn Trujillo. Katsanevas confirmed to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that separations within the show’s forthcoming seventh season will be a significant storyline.

"I’ve been amazed at how many people are curious as to what’s going on in my personal life," Katsanevas, 52, said. "The viewers fall in love with you, and your family, and your story."

Multiple sources reported in July that Katsanevas and Trujillo, 55, had separated after 27 years of marriage. The couple, who wed in 1999, share a 15-year-old daughter, Elekra, and co-own their business, Lunatic Fringe Salon.

Despite their romantic separation, Katsanevas stated that she and Trujillo will maintain a presence in each other's lives. "Shawn and I are business partners, we’re family, we’re husband and wife of 30 years, we’re best friends," she explained. "Obviously, we are loving parents, and everything we’ve done, we have done together, and we will continue to do everything together moving forward."

She added that their daughter, Elekra, has not experienced significant changes due to the separation. "We’re very present, loving parents," Katsanevas said. "I think she just feels loved and supported and very strong and confident in who she is and who her parents are, and that she is surrounded by love."

Katsanevas also commented on her relationships with her castmates. While she expressed appreciation for Heather Gay and Mary Cosby's support, she noted a lack of support from Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks. Katsanevas described posts made by Barlow and Marks shortly after her separation became public as "poor timing" and "heartless."

"I think when children and families are involved, that’s really nothing to make a post about," Katsanevas stated. "You can hold your thoughts to yourself, or better yet, release a post in support of families, marriages and people with children."

"The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" is scheduled to return on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
