Red Wing has introduced its new IronFlex line of medium-duty work boots, designed to address common issues of fit and comfort for professionals on the job. The boots are engineered using data from millions of real worker foot scans, focusing on dimensions, gait, and pressure points to create a boot that offers an optimal fit with little to no break-in time.

The development of the IronFlex line was informed by data on how workers move, where pressure accumulates, and their preferred fit. This allows the boots to be designed to move with the wearer, aiming to maintain foot comfort throughout long workdays. The design includes a roomier forefoot and toe box, combined with Red Wing's FlexForce cement-to-welt construction for heel stability, accommodating the various parts of the foot.

These boots are crafted for durability and comfort for both male and female workers. Features include an outsole with ladder grip for slip resistance, a three-layer waterproofing system, and a micro-adjustable precision fit. All styles meet ASTM ratings and are available with options for slip resistance and electrical hazard protection to enhance job safety and effectiveness.

The leather used in the IronFlex boots is sourced from Red Wing's own S.B. Foot Tanning Company, intended to ensure long-lasting wear. The company states that these boots are purposefully crafted for durability.
