Lauryn Shannon, known as "Pumpkin" from the reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," has stated that her adult content on OnlyFans resulted in her eight-year-old daughter, Ella Grace, being rejected from a private school in Georgia's Baldwin County. Shannon, 26, was in the process of transferring Ella to a "Christ-centered" school when the application was reportedly withdrawn.

Shannon expressed her frustration on Facebook, detailing that she was informed the school rescinded Ella's acceptance due to "my social media activity." She emphasized that the decision was based on her content, not her daughter's.

Shannon joined OnlyFans several months prior to seek additional income, admitting to posting "hardcore" content and performing in strip clubs. She told the Daily Mail that her primary concern with the school was a "lack of communication" and that the lengthy admissions process felt wasted when the acceptance was revoked shortly before the school year was set to begin. She stated that she had visited the school previously without any indication that her social media presence would be an issue.

Ella will now be homeschooled. Shannon indicated a preference for homeschooling over a "judgy" school environment. The family has hired a homeschool teacher to provide Ella with a more advanced curriculum.

Shannon defended her decision to engage in adult content creation, citing financial motivations. In a Facebook post, she argued that the financial stability and reduced stress from her current work are more beneficial for her children than the constant struggle with insufficient funds she previously experienced. She noted that since joining OnlyFans, she has paid off her mortgage, cleared her debts, and begun saving.

Shannon reported earning up to $15,000 per day from her OnlyFans account and has claimed to have made $500,000 since joining the platform in early March. She also performs live shows in strip clubs, earning thousands of dollars per night. She films adult content with her boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens, who is also her ex-husband's cousin. The couple's content is sold on her OnlyFans page for approximately $100 per video.

Her mother, "Mama June" Shannon, and younger sister, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, have reportedly helped promote her OnlyFans page. Shannon stated that her mother's main goal is to ensure she makes the necessary income from her content.

The "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" family first gained prominence on "Toddlers & Tiaras" in 2012, leading to their own TLC show. The series was canceled in 2014 but the family later appeared on WeTV's "Mama June: From Not to Hot," which evolved from focusing on Mama June's weight loss to a broader family reality show.
