Fans of the Prime Video series "Reacher" have reasons to be excited, as Amazon has confirmed a renewal for a fifth season, even before the fourth season has premiered. Star Alan Ritchson shared in a March interview that filming for Season 4 has concluded, and he anticipates its release within the current year, describing it as the show's best season yet.
The series, adapted from Lee Child's novels, began with a faithful adaptation of "Killing Floor." The first season followed Jack Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, as he navigated a false murder accusation and uncovered a conspiracy. Ritchson has expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating his desire to continue playing the character and that "Reacher" has been the most enjoyable experience of his career.
Season 4 of "Reacher" will be based on "Gone Tomorrow," the 13th novel in Lee Child's series. Ritchson teased that this season will feature an unprecedented amount of action and fights, with significantly more sequences than in previous installments.
Adding to the "Reacher" universe, a spinoff series focusing on fan-favorite character Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, is also in development. Titled "Neagley," the spinoff is expected to be released on Prime Video later this year.
"Reacher" is exclusively available on Prime Video. Subscriptions can be obtained through a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, which includes Prime Video access and other Prime benefits. After the trial, Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually.
