Razorlight marked the 20th anniversary of their self-titled second album with an intimate acoustic performance in London on Wednesday, ahead of a forthcoming UK tour. The show, held at Stereo in Covent Garden, featured original members Johnny Borrell and Andy Burrows performing a set of the band's classic hits.

During the performance, Borrell and Burrows shared the stories behind some of their most well-known songs. Borrell recounted the inspiration for the track "America," explaining it was conceived as a response to Billy Joel's "Moving Out" but with a different rhythmic approach. He also reflected on the band's early days, humorously noting their youthful exuberance and how they managed to create hit records despite their inexperience.

The setlist included fan favorites such as "Golden Touch," "In The Morning," "Stumble and Fall," "Who Needs Love," and "Before I Fall To Pieces." The duo also offered unexpected covers, including snippets of Extreme's "More Than Words" and Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight."

Actor and presenter James Corden made a surprise appearance in the crowd, joining the musicians for photos afterward. Corden, who recently returned to the UK after covering the World Cup in the United States, was dressed casually in a navy shirt and jeans.

Tour and Reunion

The 2026 tour will feature the four classic members of Razorlight: Borrell, Burrows, Björn Ågren, and Carl Dalemo. They are scheduled to perform the "Razorlight" album in its entirety. The UK leg of the tour is set to begin on November 26 in Glasgow, with subsequent dates in Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, London, and Bristol.

Borrell and Burrows, whose musical partnership led to Razorlight's initial success, had a falling out and were estranged for over a decade. Their reunion in 2021 paved the way for this anniversary celebration and upcoming tour.
