A venomous rattlesnake was observed slithering on the sand at Crystal Cove, a popular beach in Newport Beach, California. TV host Nicky Paris shared a video of the encounter, which occurred last week, showing the snake near the water's edge.
Paris, who was walking on the beach after exiting the ocean, reported feeling a tickle on his toe. Upon looking down, he saw the rattlesnake moving across the sand and then disappearing into the nearby hills. The incident occurred as other beachgoers were present.
This sighting follows other recent encounters with rattlesnakes in Southern California. In a separate incident last week, a woman was reportedly bitten by a rattlesnake in her Los Angeles County backyard, and her pet cat was later bitten by the same snake. Earlier this month, a family in Calabasas discovered a rattlesnake in their backyard among their children's toys.
