Fans at Citi Field experienced an unexpected guest during a recent New York Mets game when a raccoon emerged from a hole in the stands to retrieve discarded food. The incident, captured on video, showed a raccoon’s paw reaching out from a small opening in the cement.

Scott Reynolds, who was attending the game with his family, filmed the encounter. Initially startling, Reynolds described the event as amusing, stating that they "laughed and enjoyed the extra show." The video shows the raccoon's paw adeptly searching the area for peanut shells. At one point, another fan offered the animal a hot dog, which the raccoon quickly pulled into the hole.

Reynolds noted that his family was dropping peanut shells, a common practice among fans, when they first noticed the unusual activity. He confirmed that the animal was a raccoon, which he referred to as a "trash panda."
