The speculation surrounding a potential collaboration between radio personality Kyle Sandilands and former television host Karl Stefanovic has been clarified, with Sandilands' manager confirming the initiative was a publicity stunt. The media buzz began in June 2026 when two domain names, KyleandKarl.com.au and KarlandKyle.com.au, were registered by Sandilands' company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.
Bruno Bouchet, Sandilands' long-time manager and business partner, addressed the rumors during an appearance on the Game Changers podcast. He stated that there was never an intention for a "Kyle and Karl" show. When questioned about whether the domain registrations were solely for "clickbait and s**t stirring," Bouchet admitted this was the case.
Bouchet explained that he registered the domains while in conversation with a journalist inquiring about the possibility of the pair teaming up. "I had a journo calling me like, 'What do you think about Karl and Kyle?' And while I was talking to this journo, I registered both domains, and it was the best $7 I spent," he said.
Despite the successful fueling of public speculation, Bouchet expressed doubt about the viability of a daily "Kyle and Karl" show. He questioned the unique chemistry and audience appeal of such a partnership, suggesting that "two rich white guys talking to one another who are of similar age (and) experience" might not offer a distinctive product.
Sandilands is now focusing on launching his solo venture, "Kyle Sandilands Live," a project outside of his previous role with ARN. This new platform, set to launch on August 10 via a subscription-based app, will also include a four-part documentary chronicling Sandilands' career transition. Bouchet confirmed that Stefanovic would appear as a guest on this new show but would not be a permanent co-host.
Stefanovic, meanwhile, continues to focus on his podcast, "The Karl Stefanovic Show." Recent guests on his program have included Piers Morgan, Tommy Robinson, and Holly Valance.
