Plans are underway for a private motorsports complex, dubbed "Elsinore Ring," near Lake Elsinore, California. The project, inspired by Germany's Nürburgring, is envisioned as a high-end playground for auto enthusiasts, featuring a 3.2-mile race track designed to FIA Grade 2 standards.
The proposed circuit will have 22 turns and offer three different configurations, allowing for separate operation of track sections. The facility is also planned to include 275 "garage condominiums" and trackside "villas." These residences will feature climate-controlled garage space for six to eight vehicles and be finished to the standard of luxury custom homes, complete with kitchens and private balconies overlooking the track.
Amenities at the proposed complex are to include a clubhouse with a swimming pool, a spa, a gym, and a helipad on the roof. The project is being spearheaded by NASCAR veteran and road-racing legend Boris Said, who expressed that funding is secured and planning is progressing. The design for the track is being handled by Tilke Engineers and Architects. Said is reportedly targeting a 2030 completion date for the facility.
Lake Elsinore, an area known for its off-road and water sports, is situated in Riverside County. City officials have welcomed the project, with the economic development director highlighting the town's branding as the "actions sports capital of the world."
