Princess and Junior Andre, children of former glamour model Katie Price, have spoken about the challenges posed by their mother's recent four-part Sky documentary, "Katie Price: Nothing To Hide." The siblings revealed that the series, which documented their mother's life, placed them in an "awkward position" due to its candid nature.
Their comments were made during the first episode of the third series of "The Princess Diaries," a reality show featuring Katie Price. The ban on Price's appearance in the show was reportedly overturned, allowing for the new season.
Princess, 19, stated in a clip, "The new documentary put us in an awkward position. We love both our parents and want to be there for them." Her older brother, Junior, 21, also contributed to the discussion about the impact of the documentary.
During a FaceTime call with their mother, who was visiting her husband Lee Andrews in Dubai, Princess addressed her mother's relationships. Despite claims that Andrews has adopted Price's five children, Princess admitted, "I’ve never met him." She added that while her mother's life stories are "extreme," she prioritizes her mother's happiness, stating, "As long as she is happy then I’m happy."
The siblings also recounted an incident where they took Katie camping for her birthday, coinciding with a suspension of her Instagram account. Price expressed frustration, saying her account was suspended, but she was working to get it back, lamenting, "You know what it is like in my life one thing after the other."
Junior interjected, suggesting their mother would continue until she could no longer function, and reflected on his own aspirations, stating, "I always said I wanted to be a famous model or pop star. Money doesn’t bring you happiness the people around you bring you happiness."
Katie Price discussed her desire for worldwide recognition and her exhibitionist nature, while also expressing a love for home. She advised her children to "keep your circle small" after experiencing negative attention.
The documentary also delved into their mother's public struggles in the late 2010s, following the collapse of her marriage to Kieran Hayler. During this period, Price experienced depression and a cocaine addiction. Junior and Princess, who were 13 and 10 at the time, recalled how they began to take care of themselves and their younger siblings, Jett and Bunny, leading them to tears as they recounted these experiences.
