Prince William and Princess Kate attended the London premiere of Tom Cruise's new film "Digger" on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The royal couple joined stars and the director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, at the ODEON Luxe Leicester Square.
Princess Kate wore a purple gown and accessorized with a necklace believed to be the Queen Mother's Amethyst Sautoir Necklace. This piece was reportedly a gift from Queen Alexandra to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon on her wedding day in 1923. Queen Camilla was seen wearing the same necklace at the premiere of "Skyfall" in 2012.
The film, set to be released on October 2, follows "the most powerful man in the world" on a mission to save humanity from a disaster he has unleashed. The cast includes Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Riz Ahmed, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, and Emma D'Arcy.
Tom Cruise described "Digger" as a culmination of his skills and the most challenging role he has undertaken. "Everything that I’ve done has been very thought-out, why I did it," Cruise told GQ in a recent interview. "I have personal goals and challenges with everything I do."
