A High Court judge has dismissed in full Prince Harry's £50 million phone hacking case against the publisher of the Daily Mail. The Duke of Sussex, along with six other claimants including Sir Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, alleged unlawful information gathering by Associated Newspapers, which publishes the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.

The three-month trial concluded at London's High Court earlier this year. In his judgment, Mr Justice Nicklin accepted that every article complained about was lawfully sourced. Associated Newspapers presented journalist witnesses who provided lawful explanations for the sourcing of disputed articles and incidents, and the court accepted this evidence, including denials of unlawful information gathering.

The claimants, which also included Doreen Lawrence, brought the case against Associated Newspapers, alleging unlawful actions related to the sourcing of articles. However, the court found that the publisher's explanations were satisfactory and that the sourcing methods were lawful.
