The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to have their publicly funded security reviewed following their return to live in the UK. The committee responsible for royal and VIP security, known as Ravec, will reconsider the level of police protection afforded to Prince Harry, Meghan, and their two children.
This review comes after the couple reportedly changed their children's school shortly after they began, citing security concerns related to the school run. The assessment will consider the risks the couple faces as full-time residents, as opposed to visitors, in the UK. It will also evaluate the types of trips undertaken by the family and their regular travel routes, including the daily school journeys.
The decision to review their security status reflects the shift from temporary visits to permanent residency and aims to ensure appropriate protection measures are in place for their new life in the United Kingdom.
