Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have transferred their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to a new school just two days after the start of the term, citing security concerns. A representative for the couple told Hello! Magazine that the decision was made after discussions with their security team regarding the logistical challenges of their current arrangements.
According to reports, the distance between the family's residence and the school created difficulties for their security detail to maintain a convoy during the school run. "The parents remain extremely grateful to all the teachers and staff for the love, care and effort they have shown their family," the representative stated. "This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there."
An insider indicated that while security protocols had been established for the school itself, the commute had not been adequately tested. "It was perfect for them in every way and the children really enjoyed their time there. They really wanted to make it work, but they had to make a difficult decision based on the fact that the team couldn’t make the school run operationally secure," the source told the outlet.
Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, had enrolled in their previous school last week. Reports noted that Prince Harry was seen with Princess Lilibet in a reception area, and both parents have reportedly joined parent WhatsApp groups. A representative for the couple did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
