Presley Gerber's final public appearance took place in June, months before his death, alongside his parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber. The family attended the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation launch event in Malibu, California, where Presley spoke openly about his mental health and personal growth.

During the event, aimed at fostering candid conversations about mental health, Presley shared his decision to stop taking various medications at age 23. He described the process of distinguishing his authentic self from internal voices and emphasized the freedom found in self-honesty. "The most free I felt was when I was finally honest with myself," Presley stated at the event.

He also encouraged attendees to prioritize self-care and physical activity, suggesting, "Move your body regardless of how you’re feeling. Get outside. Get some sun. If you don’t feel like moving, lay on the grass."

The appearance occurred over three months before news of Presley's death at age 27 surfaced on Sunday. He passed away at an undisclosed rehabilitation facility. The family released a statement requesting privacy during their period of grief, and the cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Presley had previously been open about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health challenges. In late 2025, he announced he had been alcohol-free for five months but faced difficulties in safely reducing his prescription drug use. In May, he sought treatment in Cancun, Mexico, undergoing a psychedelic therapy intended to aid in overcoming addiction.

Presley was born in July 1999, and his parents, Crawford and Gerber, also share a daughter, Kaia, born in September 2001.
