Presley Gerber shared a series of smiling photos on Instagram more than a month prior to his death, which was confirmed on September 20. The post, dated August 5, featured Gerber posing outdoors in an all-black outfit from the Vuori clothing brand. He appeared barefoot in what seemed to be a garden setting.

Gerber's final Instagram caption simply tagged the Vuori brand. Following the news of his death, the comments section of this post was filled with tributes and condolences from his followers.

"May you rest in peace and find eternal happiness up above," one user wrote. Another commented, "No more suffering than the angels welcoming you with dignity."

A third commenter expressed heartbreak, stating, "I’m so sorry the world failed you. Praying you are at peace. You didn’t deserve this fate."

Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died at age 27 at an undisclosed rehabilitation facility. His family released a statement asking for privacy during their time of grief.

A cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. Earlier in the month of his death, Presley's sister, Kaia Gerber, spoke to Vogue about her brother's openness regarding his struggles with addiction and mental health. She described him as a "teacher" for being candid about his experiences.

Presley Gerber's last public appearance with his parents was in June at the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation launch event in Malibu. During the event, he participated in a panel discussion about his decision to stop taking certain medications to better understand his own voice and experiences.
