A Portland tattoo artist has ignited controversy by advertising a "Kirkiversary Special" offering $50 neck tattoos on the anniversary of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination.

The promotion, advertised for September 10, proposed the discounted tattoos placed in what the artist described as "the exact placement of the kirkhole." Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was killed on September 10, 2025, after being shot in the neck while speaking at Utah Valley University as part of his "American Comeback Tour."

The advertisement originated from an Instagram account identified as "blacksctratcher," which posted on September 7, "One year After Kirk CELEBRATION. customs flash whatever. as long as its this placement!!!." The account bio stated "PORTLAND DM TO BOOK" and "BBP certified," indicating bloodborne pathogen certification for safe practices.

The promotion gained wider attention when the social media account Libs of TikTok amplified the advertisement on September 8, accusing the artist of "celebrating his assassination." The post quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

Commenters on the original Instagram post expressed strong disapproval, with one user writing, "You’re demonic. Yes, we all know about your mental illness." Prior to the account being switched to private, the artist responded to the backlash via an Instagram story, which included a selfie with text stating, "I am NEET nothing u do can hurt me repubtards," accompanied by a devil emoji. The text also asserted, "Stop imposing on my freedom of speech NOW."

Fox News Digital attempted to contact the artist, who reportedly inquired about compensation when asked about the posts and did not respond to a follow-up question. Turning Point USA had not immediately responded to a request for comment at the time of this report.
