Police returned to the home of Brooke Hanlon, a New Jersey mother found stabbed to death nearly five months ago, on Wednesday and Thursday. Investigators were observed at the Pottersville Road property in Chester with brown bags on Thursday.
This follows a significant law enforcement presence on Wednesday, when neighbors reported seeing at least 15 vehicles at the residence until approximately 11 p.m. Neighbors also stated that Conor Hanlon, Brooke Hanlon's husband, was seen speaking with police on Wednesday afternoon. He has denied any involvement in his wife's death, and no arrests have been made in the case.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has not provided any updates on the investigation. Brooke Hanlon is survived by her 1-year-old daughter.
Investigators' renewed activity at the home comes weeks after Hanlon’s autopsy report was released. The report officially ruled her death a homicide caused by “sharp force injuries,” confirming details previously released by the prosecutor's office in June.
According to a 911 call obtained by Fox News Digital, Conor Hanlon was the first to discover his wife unresponsive. In the call, he informed the operator of a “laceration” on her body while receiving CPR instructions. He urgently requested immediate assistance, stating, “I need you here immediately.”
Months after the discovery of her death, neighbors have told Fox News Digital that Conor Hanlon has continued to visit his home and spend nights there. Prior to this, he had been splitting his time between Chester and the Boston area, his family's region of origin.
Officials have not disclosed whether a murder weapon was recovered from the scene. Brooke Hanlon’s family has previously expressed “full and unwavering confidence in the investigative efforts of law enforcement” in a statement to Fox News Digital.
