A police pursuit on a Southern California highway concluded Wednesday morning with a man in custody after California Highway Patrol officers stopped a white minivan on the 91 Freeway. The man was apprehended around 8 a.m. after officers brought the vehicle to a halt.

Video footage showed officers tackling a man, who was wearing blue shorts, a white T-shirt, and a hat, to the ground as he exited the driver's seat. He was then handcuffed. Shortly after, a male juvenile emerged from the minivan.

It remains unclear if the juvenile had been abducted or if the suspect had any prior relationship with the child. Authorities have not yet released specific details regarding the reason for the pursuit or the connection between the man and the juvenile. The California Highway Patrol and the Anaheim Police Department, which also responded to the scene, have been contacted for further information.
