Cheshire Police discovered significant quantities of illegal drugs buried at the Creamfields Festival site in Daresbury, Cheshire, in the days leading up to the event. The discovery was made during a pre-event search of the grounds.

Officers unearthed approximately 204 canisters of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, along with large bags containing ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine tablets. The festival is expected to draw more than 80,000 music fans starting Thursday.

Superintendent Andy Blizard stated that law enforcement encounters individuals attempting to conceal or bury drugs in advance of the festival each year. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy regarding drug possession.

Police are asking anyone who may have buried a rucksack or holdall at the site and wishes to reclaim it to contact them.
