A polar bear cub named Momota at the Oga Aquarium in Akita Prefecture, Japan, has captured attention for his playful interactions with a set of colorful cones. The young cub, born in December, was observed engaging with the objects, even using one as a hat.
The cub was seen trying on different colored cones and, at one point, resting his head on the tip of one while taking a break from his activities. This playful behavior was documented by hobbyist photographer Takuzo Toriya, who noted the cub's apparent enjoyment of playing with his new 'toys.'
Momota has previously gained internet fame for his antics in the earlier months of his life. There are an estimated 300 to 400 polar bears in captivity worldwide, with about a dozen cared for in the UK.
