Podcaster Michael Knowles Suggests AOC's Egg Freezing Procedure Signals Presidential Ambitions

Conservative podcaster Michael Knowles has suggested that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's decision to undergo and publicly document her egg-freezing procedure signals a potential presidential run in 2028. Knowles, host of "The Michael Knowles Show" on the Daily Wire, argued on "Pod Force One" that the congresswoman's social media vlogs detailing the process are indicative of a broader political strategy.

Ocasio-Cortez has stated that the procedure is intended to help her "feel more in control of my life" and to feel "empowered." However, Knowles interprets these public disclosures differently, suggesting they are part of a meticulously planned campaign announcement. He noted that the New York Democrat is often discussed as a leading figure within the party, citing an unnamed vice president who reportedly called her "the leader of the pack." Knowles described Ocasio-Cortez as "the voice of the millennial generation" and suggested her decision to delay family for her career is relatable, yet "sad."

Knowles also asserted that the Democratic Party has effectively been taken over by socialists, referring to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) as having achieved a "fait accompli." He characterized the party's current state as belonging to Ocasio-Cortez, with figures like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi merely "living in it." According to Knowles, the ideological differences between mainstream Democrats and the DSA are minimal, citing shared stances on issues such as abortion, criminal justice reform, immigration, and taxation.

"So, the really sad conclusion is, stunts like that make it much more likely that AOC will be elected president, and it also means that she’ll probably be very unhappy," Knowles stated, referring to the public nature of her egg-freezing journey. He believes that by prioritizing her career and public image over personal family life, Ocasio-Cortez aligns with a trend among millennials, which he views as a source of unhappiness.
