A Fontana Pizza Company delivery driver has gained viral attention for his calm demeanor while delivering a pizza to a customer's home, with a black bear present in the yard just feet away. The incident occurred in Fontana, California.
Security footage from the customer's home in South Lake Tahoe, where the bear was seen entering the property multiple times, captured the delivery driver approaching the front door. The video shows the bear standing near the entryway as the driver hands the pizza order to the residents. After the transaction, the driver is seen walking back to his car while the bear watches him before moving away towards a tree.
The Fontana Pizza Company shared the video, which included text stating, "Our pizza delivery man really went above and beyond" and a caption, "If our Delivery Driver can handle a Bear...imagine what we'll do to satisfy your Pizza cravings." The company's post highlighted the driver's composure in the face of the wildlife encounter.
The footage does not show any aggression from the bear towards the driver, and no injuries were reported. The bear was also observed to have previously entered the property and taken brioche buns, a croissant, and ribeye steaks before eating them outside. The incident avoided a potentially dangerous confrontation, with the family receiving their dinner and capturing video of the event.
