Two individuals impersonating Las Vegas showgirls, identified as Jennifer Ortiz and Magdellena Romero, have been arrested following an alleged assault on tourists on the Las Vegas Strip. The incident occurred on September 30 outside the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

The confrontation began after the tourists took a photo with the performers and offered a $20 tip. According to reports, Ortiz demanded payment between $60 and $180, and subsequently pursued the tourists before initiating a physical altercation.

Video footage captured the scene, showing Ortiz and Romero, clad in feathery headdresses, engaging in a physical fight with the tourists. The female tourist attempted to intervene but was reportedly pulled by her hair and struck. The male tourist was also subjected to multiple assaults, including being hit with a high-heeled boot by Ortiz, which police stated caused a 2-inch cut to his forehead. He reportedly sustained 22 blows.

Ortiz faces an additional charge of obtaining money by false pretense. In a separate incident, she is accused of defrauding another tourist by charging $218 for a service that was agreed to be $60, and then providing a fake phone number when confronted. Court records indicate Ortiz had a prior similar incident in March 2026, for which she was ordered to avoid further trouble.

The third performer present was not charged, stating she attempted to break up the fight. Both Ortiz and Romero were booked into the Clark County Detention Center and are awaiting court appearances in December.
