A New York City penthouse currently on the market for nearly $7 million has been the subject of widespread reporting, with numerous outlets incorrectly stating that the residence was once occupied by pop superstar Lady Gaga. However, sources close to the singer confirm that she never lived in the Hell's Kitchen property.

The 3,700-square-foot duplex, located atop the former Hit Factory recording studio, has been listed for sale. Reports from publications such as People, Robb Report, and the Daily Mail had indicated that Lady Gaga resided in the penthouse while working on her second studio album, "Born This Way," released in 2011. These reports also mentioned that other notable figures, including former NBA player Carmelo Anthony and comedian Tracy Morgan, had previously lived in the building.

Despite these claims, an insider stated that Lady Gaga has never considered the Hell's Kitchen pad her home, neither as an owner nor a renter. Further supporting this, an "Elle Decor" article from January detailing Lady Gaga's real estate history did not list the Hell's Kitchen apartment among her former residences.

The property itself boasts significant features, including a rooftop deck and its location in a building with a rich musical history, having served as the Hit Factory where artists like Michael Jackson and Madonna recorded. The listing for Penthouse C at The Hit Factory Condominium remains active, with the apartment described as a spacious and desirable living space. While the association with Lady Gaga appears to be inaccurate, the building's past residents and its unique history continue to draw attention.
