Patrick Kielty, host of Ireland's "The Late Late Show," is reportedly planning to establish Ireland as his permanent residence, with friends indicating he has become deeply connected to life in his native country. Sources suggest that Kielty's increased presence in Ireland extends beyond what is required for his television commitments.

Kielty, a native of Co. Down, has been spending significant time in both Northern Ireland and the Republic. While he is preparing for the upcoming season of "The Late Late Show," which begins pre-season planning in August, his visits have been more frequent than his professional schedule necessitates. He is understood to be staying at his late mother's home in Dundrum, Co. Down, which remains in the family's possession. His mother passed away in March at the age of 80.

This reported shift in Kielty's life comes as his estranged wife, Cat Deeley, has been seen publicly with film executive Charlie Coleman. Deeley and Coleman were photographed together at the American Express presents BST Hyde Park festival in London, where they appeared affectionate. Kielty and Deeley married in 2012 and reportedly separated in 2025 after thirteen years together. They have two children.

Professionally, Kielty recently signed a three-year contract to continue hosting "The Late Late Show" through at least the 2028 season. His tenure began in September 2023, taking over from Ryan Tubridy. The most recent season averaged 385,000 viewers per episode, with over 1.46 million streams on the RTÉ Player. Kielty is also expanding his production work in Ireland through his production company, undertaking external RTÉ projects.

Kielty was recently seen attending the Tailteann Cup final between Down and Wicklow at Croke Park in Dublin on July 11, accompanied by two young boys. An onlooker described him as being in good spirits and interacting positively with staff at the venue.
