Patrick Clancy to be Joined by Wife Dr. Rachel Danis in Upcoming '60 Minutes' Interview

Patrick Clancy is set to appear in a "60 Minutes" interview on Sunday, and he will be joined by his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis. CBS confirmed that Danis, 37, a fertility specialist, will also be interviewed alongside Clancy, 38, by Ross Douthat.

A teaser clip shared online by "60 Minutes" features Douthat addressing Danis, saying, "Hi Rachel," as she responds, "Hi." Douthat then greets Clancy.

Clancy and Danis married in April and reside in Midtown Manhattan. Public records indicate Patrick Clancy relocated from Massachusetts to New York City in May 2023, four months after the deaths of his three children: Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months.

This interview marks Clancy's first public statement since the mistrial in his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy's murder trial. The jury was unable to reach a verdict, deadlocking 11-1, with one juror reportedly refusing to find Lindsay Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. Prosecutors have not yet announced whether they will seek a new trial or offer a plea deal.

In a previous promotional clip, Patrick Clancy stated that he speaks to his deceased children, telling "60 Minutes," "Help me'... All the time."

During the trial, Clancy faced online accusations and threats, with some individuals alleging his involvement in his children's deaths. Following the mistrial, Clancy issued a statement through his lawyer, vowing to pursue consequences against those responsible for what he described as a "relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign." The statement asserted that "so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists" had promoted false narratives for personal gain and profit, leading to threats against his reputation, livelihood, and life. The statement emphasized his intention to stop injurious behavior, create accountability, and focus on preserving the memory of his children and supporting women facing perinatal mental health challenges. It also noted that law enforcement had been notified.

Patrick Clancy filed for divorce from Lindsay Clancy in February 2024. Lindsay Clancy had admitted to killing their three children by strangulation at their Massachusetts home but sought an insanity defense, citing postpartum psychosis and medication side effects. Her defense team has reportedly hired an attorney who previously represented Karen Read, a defendant in a high-profile murder case, as they seek to have Lindsay Clancy's case dismissed.
