Patrick Clancy is experiencing escalating threats to his reputation, livelihood, and life due to a misinformation campaign fueled by influencers and minor celebrities, according to his attorney Howard Cooper.
Cooper stated that since Lindsay Clancy's mistrial in the murder case of their three children, an "escalating campaign of misinformation" has targeted Patrick Clancy. The attorney claims that individuals are promoting "outright falsehoods" about Patrick's alleged involvement in the deaths of Cora, 6, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, to boost their own social media profiles and financial gain.
"Enough is enough — this spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop," Cooper said in a statement to Boston 25 News. "Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences, and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally. Law enforcement has been notified."
Lindsay Clancy was charged with murdering her children in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. Her defense argued she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and could not be held criminally liable. However, a unanimous jury verdict could not be reached, resulting in a mistrial on September 4.
Patrick Clancy has previously expressed forgiveness for his estranged wife, describing her as "sick rather than evil." He and his current wife, Rachel Danis, are seeking to address the "injurious behavior" and allow him to focus on preserving the memory of his children and supporting women with perinatal mental health challenges.
