Law enforcement officers were present at Miami International Airport late Friday night to meet an American Airlines flight following reports of a female passenger undressing and engaging in indecent acts during the journey.

American Airlines Flight 1779 departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) on Sept. 11, 2025, and landed in Miami at approximately 11:23 p.m. EDT. During the flight, flight attendants alerted the cockpit crew to a disturbance involving a passenger in seat 9D.

According to Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) datalink logs, the lead flight attendant reported that the passenger had completely undressed and engaged in indecent acts visible to other passengers. The ACARS message indicated that the incident should be reported to American Airlines’ Integrated Operations Center and that law enforcement should be requested.

The flight continued to Miami without diverting, and officers were waiting at Gate D2 in Terminal N upon arrival. The passenger was taken into custody. The specific actions taken by the cabin crew to manage the disturbance during the flight remain unclear.
