Police have located the parents of a young boy who was found wandering alone on a Sydney street in the middle of the night. The discovery followed an urgent search initiated after the child was spotted on MacDonald Street in Ramsgate, located in the city's south, around 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The boy was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt and black pants and was not wearing shoes when found. Officers from the St. George Police Area Command conducted a search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate his parents.

Hours after the initial discovery, around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the parents were reunited with their child. "The parents of a toddler found in the Ramsgate area have been located," NSW Police stated. "Police would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal. Inquiries are continuing into the incident."
