Paramount+ has acquired the rights to "Cookie Queens," a documentary executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The film follows young Girl Scouts competing to sell the most cookies.

The acquisition by Paramount+, a competitor to Netflix, comes after the Sussexes' five-year deal with Netflix, which concluded in 2025. Prior to this, the couple had signed a "multi-year, first-look deal" with Netflix, granting the streaming giant an initial option on projects from their Archewell production company.

"Cookie Queens" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Meghan, who was a former Girl Scout, stated she was drawn to the project after viewing early footage. However, the documentary's performance in U.S. cinemas during its opening weekend was reportedly outmatched by a compilation of cat videos.
