Orlando Bloom was observed emerging from the sea at La Concha Beach in Spain on Thursday, showcasing his physique. The actor, aged 49, was seen in black swim shorts during a morning swim ahead of the San Sebastián Festival.
Bloom is scheduled to present "Bucking Fastard," the new feature film directed by Werner Herzog. Herzog is slated to receive the prestigious Donostia Award during the festival's opening gala on Friday night. The festival is scheduled to run from September 18 to 26.
In "Bucking Fastard," Bloom portrays Gareth Mulroney, the onscreen lover of sisters Rooney and Kate Mara. The film, loosely based on the true story of twins Freda and Greta Chaplin, explores their unique connection, including speaking in unison and sharing dreams. The film previously premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where director Herzog noted the Mara sisters' immediate grasp of their co-dependent characters, requiring less rehearsal time than initially planned.
Bloom has a daughter, Daisy Dove, aged six, with ex-fiancée Katy Perry, and a son, Flynn, 15, from his marriage to Miranda Kerr. He is reportedly in a relationship with Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, 28.
"Bucking Fastard" is set in Ireland and also features Domhnall Gleeson as a social worker assisting the twin sisters.
