Authorities are investigating a quintuple homicide discovered Saturday morning in a rural area near Forest Grove, Oregon. Firefighters responding to a fire found five bodies, along with numerous dead domesticated animals.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office stated that the killings are not believed to be random. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

"I will say that in my 22 years here, I have not been a part of or witnessed a scene quite this complex involving this type of an investigation," Sheriff Caprice Massey said during a news conference Sunday. "This incident is deeply concerning to our community."

Investigators have identified the suspect in the homicides as 36-year-old Benjamin Charles Parker, who was a resident at the scene of the crimes. Parker was found deceased in his car in Enumclaw, Washington, from an apparent suicide, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials do not believe there is any ongoing danger to the public. The investigation into the complex scene is continuing, the sheriff's office said.
