Two police officers are under investigation for potential gross misconduct in connection with the case of Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old who was handcuffed as he lay dying after being stabbed. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) announced the investigation, stating that evidence suggests the first responding officers may have violated professional standards in their duties, use of force, and discreditable conduct.

Nowak was stabbed by Vickrum Digwa in December 2025. The circumstances surrounding the officers' actions have prompted the IOPC to scrutinize their conduct during the incident.
