Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser has parted ways with her agents at UTA, signing with WME in a move reportedly inspired by her co-star Kim Kardashian. Sources familiar with the situation told Page Six Hollywood that Glaser, who appears alongside Kardashian in the upcoming Netflix film “The Fifth Wheel,” was "enamoured" with the reality star.

Glaser and Kardashian developed a bond on the set of the film, directed by Eva Longoria. Kardashian, who is also producing “The Fifth Wheel,” plays one of a group of high school friends attempting to reconnect during a weekend in Las Vegas. Glaser has previously expressed admiration for Kardashian, describing her as a trusted life advisor who provided "insane life advice" that significantly impacted a difficult personal decision.

The comedian’s decision to fire UTA was reportedly made without prior warning, catching the agency and members of Glaser’s own team by surprise. One source described the move as "crazy considering what UTA built for her the last five years."

Glaser's public relations representative did not comment on the agency switch. UTA had represented Glaser since 2018, a period during which she transitioned from a respected comedian to a prominent mainstream figure. During her tenure with UTA, Glaser secured numerous television and film projects, including “The Fifth Wheel,” a Netflix animated feature titled “Steps,” a pitch to Paramount, and a romantic comedy at Universal with Judd Apatow. She is also one of the highest-grossing live touring comedians and has hosted the Golden Globes twice, with a return engagement scheduled for 2027. She also emceed "The Roast of Tom Brady" in 2024, and her recent comedy special earned multiple Emmy nominations.

Kardashian has also been active in media production, recently selling the series “Calabasas” to Netflix as an executive producer and starring in Hulu’s legal drama “All’s Fair.” WME now represents Glaser across all areas, including motion pictures, television, digital content, and touring, indicating a potential interest in expanding into ventures similar to those in which Kardashian has found success.

Despite the agency change, Glaser is reportedly heavily booked. Sources indicated that her new agents at WME were surprised by her demanding schedule during an initial call with her existing team. Glaser's current tour, which began in June, is part of a significant deal with promoter Outback Presents and is slated to run through December, with potential for additional dates to be announced. The extensive touring schedule means that WME may not immediately benefit from commissions on her current live performances.
