New deposition testimony in the sexual abuse case brought by Melissa Schuman against Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has emerged, with witnesses reportedly stating Schuman never informed them of the alleged assault. The accusations stem from an incident Schuman claims occurred in 2003, when she was 18 and Carter was 22, during the filming of the movie "The Hollow."

Carter has denied all allegations, asserting that any relations between them were consensual. Attorneys for Carter have reportedly conducted depositions with individuals who worked on "The Hollow" alongside both Schuman and Carter.

According to reports, "The Hollow" producer Daniel Levin stated in his deposition that he did not observe any behavior from Schuman that would indicate she had been sexually assaulted. Levin added that the film crew would have intervened if a sexual assault had been reported.

Nils Larsen, identified as Schuman's former manager, also reportedly testified that Schuman never disclosed the alleged assault to him. Larsen claimed Schuman instead told him she had a crush on Carter and that they appeared to get along during the production.

Schuman had stated in an April 2026 deposition that she confided in actress Kaley Cuoco, who also appeared in "The Hollow," about the alleged assault. Schuman claimed this conversation took place on April 2003, her final day working on the film.

A source close to Cuoco told TMZ that the actress had not been deposed to attest to the veracity of Schuman's allegations.

In her deposition, Schuman also detailed alleged angry and harassing messages she received from Carter after the alleged incident, in which he reportedly called her a "manipulative b****." Schuman stated she eventually changed her phone number.

Schuman first publicly shared her allegations against Carter in a blog post in 2017. She reported the allegations to authorities in 2018, but no charges were pursued against Carter.

Schuman filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against Carter in April 2023. In response, Carter filed a $2.5 million countersuit in 2024, alleging that Schuman's lawsuit was based on false information and filed with the intent to damage his reputation and business opportunities.
