NFL analyst Rich Eisen has pushed back against criticism of the guest list for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding, asserting that many of Kelce's teammates and coaches were in attendance. The power couple reportedly invited approximately 1,000 guests to celebrate at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Eisen, who attended the event with his wife, sportscaster Suzy Shuster, responded to a social media comment suggesting that Kelce had invited tangential sports figures over his teammates. "Beyond false," Eisen wrote. "Most Chiefs were there. Both sides of the ball and coaching staff and front office and FORMER teammates of @killatrav."
Eisen's statement comes after reports that kicker Harrison Butker, a three-time Super Bowl champion, was not present at the wedding. Butker had previously drawn controversy for remarks made during a 2022 commencement speech where he suggested women should prioritize being stay-at-home mothers over their careers. Kelce had publicly defended Butker following the backlash, calling him a "great person" while admitting disagreement with his views.
Despite Butker's absence, the guest list reportedly included numerous notable figures from the NFL. According to reports, players such as Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford, and Trent McDuffie were present, along with former teammate Juju Smith-Schuster. Kelce and Swift are also expected to attend Smith-Schuster's wedding the following weekend.
