Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich addressed a question regarding former President Ronald Reagan's private remarks about other Republicans on Wednesday during a live television appearance. Fox News host Jesse Watters asked Gingrich if Reagan had discussed the physical attributes of other politicians.
Watters' query came after a clip was shown of Donald Trump commenting on the physique of Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) on two separate occasions. Gingrich responded to Watters' question by stating, "To the best of my knowledge — and I knew Reagan pretty well — he was not an ass man, at least not about guys."
When Watters attempted to delve further into Trump's remarks, Gingrich interjected, "How do you come up with this?" Watters explained that he was reacting to Trump's comments. Gingrich then reiterated his stance, stating, "I’m not going to go any further than that."
