The New York City skyline was illuminated by a drone show featuring 2,977 lights on Wednesday night, commemorating the victims of the September 11th terror attacks ahead of the 25th anniversary.
During the display over Lower Manhattan, the lights coalesced to form an image of the Twin Towers as they stood prior to the attacks in 2001. The event was sponsored by the New York Foundation of the Arts and took place before the annual ceremony at Ground Zero on Friday.
