Prime Video has announced that "Neagley," a spin-off series centered on the character Frances Neagley, will premiere on September 16. The announcement comes as Amazon officially ordered the series in October 2024, expanding the universe of the popular Jack Reacher franchise.
Maria Sten, who reprises her role as Frances Neagley, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating she is “beyond thrilled to further explore the world of Neagley and her somewhat mysterious background.”
The new series is described by Amazon as an invitation for fans of the "Reacher" series and Lee Child's novels to delve deeper into the existing world, promising a mystery with “unexpected twists.” The plot will follow Neagley as a private investigator operating in Chicago. The series will also explore her past as a former military protégé of Jack Reacher within the Army's 110th Special Investigations Unit.
The narrative will see Neagley investigating the suspicious death of a friend from her past. She is expected to utilize the skills she acquired from Jack Reacher and her military training to uncover a significant threat.
"Neagley" will be exclusively available on Prime Video. The series premiere coincides with the season finale of the main "Reacher" series, which is set to debut its first three episodes on August 12, with subsequent episodes released weekly.
