Never-before-seen photographs of Steve Irwin, the late crocodile hunter, have emerged, showcasing a striking resemblance to his son Robert. The images, taken in 1989 when Steve was 27, were shared by Rellie May Photography and depict him with a mullet and smoking a cigarette while wrangling a crocodile in Dalbeg, North Queensland.

In the black-and-white photos, Steve Irwin is seen in his characteristic khaki shirt and shorts, covered in grime as he worked with locals and a large crocodile named Bogie. These images highlight the physical similarities between the elder Irwin and his 22-year-old son, Robert, who continues his father's conservation legacy.

Steve Irwin died at the age of 44 on September 4, 2006, following a freak accident involving a stingray while filming a documentary. His widow, Terri Irwin, recently marked the 20th anniversary of his death, reflecting on her grief and the enduring impact of his loss. She shared that even after two decades, grief remains a constant companion, but she has gained perspective over time.

Terri also recalled their final six weeks together as a family, describing it as a 'long and sweet goodbye' filled with simple moments like building swings and climbing trees with their children, Bindi and Robert. She expressed belief that everyone gets to say goodbye, even if they don't realize it at the time, urging others to cherish moments with loved ones.

Steve and Terri Irwin built their conservation empire, including Australia Zoo, from a small reptile park established by Steve's parents in 1970. Their television series, 'The Crocodile Hunter,' which aired from 1996 to 2004, propelled Steve to global fame. Since his death, Terri, with the support of Bindi and Robert, has continued to expand their conservation efforts through Australia Zoo and the non-profit organization Wildlife Warriors.

Terri Irwin has not remarried and has previously denied rumors linking her to various public figures, stating that she has already experienced her 'happily ever after' and cannot envision another partner like Steve.
