East Brook Middle School in Paramus, New Jersey, is recalling yearbooks after a photograph of Adolf Hitler as a baby was mistakenly included in the publication. The black-and-white image appeared alongside photos of graduating students in the yearbook.
Principal Ryan Aupperlee addressed the incident in a letter to parents, stating that the inclusion of the Hitler image is unacceptable and does not align with the school's values. Corrected yearbooks are being prepared for distribution.
The school district has initiated an investigation into how the photograph was included. The mayor's office has also been made aware of the situation, emphasizing that such an incident does not represent the town's commitment to being welcoming to all faiths.
