A New Jersey woman described as a beauty influencer and wife of an FDNY firefighter has been arrested and charged with felony shoplifting, accused of stealing nearly $2,500 worth of merchandise from a ShopRite over four separate incidents. Jeana DiCarlo, 35, of Middletown, faces up to five years in prison and a $15,000 fine if convicted of the third-degree shoplifting charge.

Store employees reportedly alerted police on June 5 after observing DiCarlo allegedly place approximately $550 worth of groceries into her cart without paying. Surveillance footage reviewed by employees led them to confront DiCarlo in the store's parking lot, where she could not produce a receipt. Responding officers were informed by staff that DiCarlo had allegedly engaged in similar activities previously.

According to police, DiCarlo had allegedly shoplifted from the same location on May 8, May 17, and May 31. The total value of items taken during these prior alleged incidents amounted to $1,940.20. Combined with the $548.80 from the June 5 incident, the total alleged value of stolen goods reached $2,489.

Police body camera footage captured DiCarlo's arrest by Middletown Police Department Officer James Courtney. During the arrest, an officer noted that DiCarlo's purse contained a significant amount of cash, stating, "She had enough money to pay for groceries. Jeez, it's a lot of cash." DiCarlo reportedly indicated she had a son's christening scheduled for the upcoming Sunday.

DiCarlo, who has over 30,000 followers on Instagram where she posts about skincare and family life, has since made her social media accounts private. Public records indicate she recently gave birth to her fifth child. She resides in a home valued at an estimated $750,000. Her husband, John DiCarlo, a New York City firefighter, earned $190,780 in 2023.

This is not DiCarlo's first alleged encounter with shoplifting charges. Court records indicate she was arrested in July 2023 for fourth-degree shoplifting from a Target in Middletown. She was also arrested again for shoplifting on June 10, just five days after the June 5 incident captured on body camera. Charges from both the June 5 and June 10 arrests are currently pending. DiCarlo is scheduled to appear in Monmouth County Superior Court on September 24.

DiCarlo was arrested on June 5 and charged with third-degree shoplifting, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison if convicted. She is pictured getting placed into a patrol car
