A new biography about Tom Brady offers a reevaluation of the timeline surrounding his split from actress Bridget Moynahan and the beginning of his relationship with supermodel Gisele Bündchen.

Lars Anderson, author of "Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness," suggests in his book that the public narrative has unfairly portrayed Brady regarding these personal events. According to Anderson, "doing the math" reveals a timeline that "barely works in Tom's favor."

Brady and Moynahan dated for nearly three years before ending their relationship in December 2006. Three months later, in February 2007, Moynahan informed Brady of her pregnancy. At that time, Brady had already been dating Bündchen for two months, having had his first date with her in December 2006.

Anderson's book notes that Moynahan's estimated date of conception was in late November 2006, just two weeks before Brady's initial meeting with Bündchen. The author states that Moynahan was "heartbroken" by the breakup.

Moynahan shared the news of her pregnancy with Brady while he was vacationing in Paris with Bündchen. This led to significant media attention, which Anderson describes as a "global media firestorm" that transformed a "private dilemma into a public spectacle."

Anderson also writes that Bündchen was uncertain about how to react to the news and considered whether Brady should raise a family with Moynahan. Ultimately, Bündchen chose to remain with Brady as he prepared to become a father with another woman.

Moynahan gave birth to their son, Jack, in August 2007. Brady and Bündchen married in 2009 and had two children together, Benjamin and Vivian. Their relationship ended in 2022, following Brady's decision to briefly unretire from football before retiring permanently in 2023.
