Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia has revealed she received two life-changing diagnoses: hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The 51-year-old artist described the period as a "grieving process" where she felt as though "someone had taken some of my personality."

Imbruglia explained that perimenopause intensified her existing neurodivergence, particularly her anxiety before performances. "There’s a particular thing about my neurodiversity that’s hard for me to accept, which is how I get when I’m nervous before a show. Perimenopause made it worse," she told The Sunday Times.

She referred to her conditions as a "superpower" but acknowledged the difficulty in accepting certain aspects of her neurodiversity. The singer, who welcomed her son Max Valentine Imbruglia via IVF in 2019, also reflected on the challenges of single motherhood and the emotional intensity of the fertility journey.

Imbruglia is scheduled to join Bryan Adams on his upcoming Australian tour. Her hit single "Torn," released in 1997, remains one of her most recognized songs. She previously shared that her iconic outfit in the "Torn" music video, featuring army pants and a hoodie, stemmed from insecurities about her body and a desire to avoid wearing a dress.
