Natalie Barr opted not to directly address recent crude remarks made by shock jock Kyle Sandilands about her legs. Instead, the Sunrise host was photographed on a walk in Mosman, Sydney, showcasing her athletic physique in form-fitting activewear.

Barr, 58, wore tight leggings paired with a white T-shirt and a zip-up jumper, accessorized with sunglasses and white sneakers. The appearance came after Sandilands, 55, commented on her legs during his radio show. He stated he had considered critiquing her physical appearance during a recent interview but refrained out of "respect for women."

During the interview, Sandilands recalled thinking, "It's strange you're bringing up my son when you're sitting here with these scaly legs that clearly need some sort of Palmer's Butter put on them. They were very scaly."

The interview itself had been confrontational. Barr had questioned Sandilands about controversial comments he made throughout his radio career and their potential impact on his four-year-old son, Otto. Barr asked if he would be comfortable with his son listening to his past broadcasts.

Sandilands responded defensively, suggesting Barr had a "dramatised imagination" of his show. Barr pressed further, inquiring about genuine regrets regarding past criticisms of his comments about women, disability, the Holocaust, and broadcasting private conversations.

Sandilands characterized many of these as "jokes" or things that were "perceived to have been bad," acknowledging some were mistakes or stupid remarks. He also noted that context could be lost in broadcast, particularly when transferred to talkback radio, altering narratives. He stated he learns from such instances and gets back to work.

Sandilands later expressed frustration leaving the Sunrise studios, feeling he had "dropped a grenade" by questioning Barr. He denied being "horrible to women, and handicapped people, and anyone with any sort of sadness," dismissing such accusations as false.
