Natalie Alyn Lind, the breakout star of Paramount+'s hit series "Dutton Ranch," has revealed her ambition to compete on the long-running reality competition show "Survivor." Lind, 26, shared her aspirations in a conversation with the Daily Mail at a Crown Royal whiskey event in Los Angeles.
"I went to the Survivor finale and I was talking to the producers and they said they want me, I'm just trying to figure out if it makes sense with filming season two of Dutton Ranch," Lind stated. "I have prior commitments so I'm going to stay loyal to Dutton Ranch and then I'm gonna go on."
She expressed firm conviction about her future on the show, adding, "I will be on Survivor. It's not an if, it's a when!"
Despite her reality TV ambitions, Lind is focused on the upcoming season of "Dutton Ranch." She teased the season one finale, which is set to air July 3, hinting at significant plot twists. "Episode nine that's about to come out, that episode takes everything that's been said the entire season and flips it," she explained. "I really don't think anybody's gonna see things coming. There is a very specific scene that I'm talking about... I can't say too much." Lind suggested that viewers could expect familiar characters and dynamics to be re-contextualized, stating, "There are characters that you love and characters that you hate and everything is flipped."
Lind portrays Oreana Lynn Jackson in "Dutton Ranch," a spin-off of "Yellowstone." Her character is depicted as the love interest of Carter Green, the foster son of the series' antagonist, Beth Dutton. Since its premiere in March, "Dutton Ranch" has become the most successful original series launch in Paramount+ history.
The actress also touched upon how filming the show in Texas has influenced her personal tastes. "There's so much whiskey drinking out there and that's kind of the cowboy thing to do, so I found myself drinking more whiskey than I ever have," she admitted. She also noted whiskey's prominence in Nashville, where she previously filmed a TV show, and mentioned her fondness for Crown Royal, particularly the green apple flavor.
In addition to her acting career and "Survivor" aspirations, Lind has launched her own production company, Big Bad Pig Productions. The company's inaugural project is the horror-comedy film "Halloween Store," in which Lind also stars. Describing the film, she said, "It's an amazing movie. It's a movie that I put together. I brought together the financing and the cast." Lind, a self-proclaimed horror enthusiast, referred to the project as "my love letter to horror." "Halloween Store" is slated for release later this year.
Lind comes from a family of actresses. Her mother, Barbara Alyn Woods, is known for her role on "One Tree Hill." Her sisters, Alyvia Alyn Lind and Emily Alyn Lind, also have established acting careers, with credits including "Chucky," "Wayward," "Revenge," and "Gossip Girl."
