The highly publicized wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is being meticulously planned by event designer Mark Seed, who has emerged as a key figure behind the extravagant multi-day celebration. Seed and his team have reportedly been working with the couple for months on the festivities, which included an intimate rehearsal dinner at Madison Square Garden and a larger celebration with approximately 1,000 guests.
Swift herself has been involved in the planning, with sources indicating that many of the ideas originate from her, alongside Kelce. "Taylor's not the official wedding planner, but most of the ideas are hers. She's used to taking control. This will be her big day and along with Travis, she'll be the mastermind," a source told Page Six.
Seed, who works under the creative management agency Exposure NY, has a reputation for handling ultra-exclusive celebrity weddings. His previous work includes orchestrating the weddings of Jennifer Lawrence to Cooke Maroney in 2019 and Billie Lourd to Austen Rydell in 2022. It is believed that Seed may have come to Swift's attention after he planned the 2023 wedding of musician Jack Antonoff to actress Margaret Qualley.
Despite his high-profile clientele, Seed maintains a low public profile. He reportedly does not have a public Instagram account, and his professional website features a minimalist landing page with a logo and contact information. This discretion is a significant draw for his celebrity clients.
Actress Sam Ressler, who worked with Seed for her own wedding and that of her sister, described him as a "genius" with "chillest energy" who is "incapable of panic." Ressler told Vogue that Seed "can right-size any problem and can put things in perspective," emphasizing that he understands the importance of the event being a "celebration of love and a fun experience to plan." She added that his execution of her vision "was beyond my wildest expectations."
