MSNBC host Jacob Soboroff highlighted a detail in a photograph that he said revealed the reality of attendance at President Donald Trump's Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C. While Trump claimed the event was "packed with happy people," Fox News reported a "wash of people" and "thousands" present, though footage appeared to show a largely empty field.

Soboroff shared an image posted by an event organizer, which depicted a singer on stage with a guitarist. According to Soboroff, zooming in on the guitarist's sunglasses revealed a reflection of a crowd numbering less than a dozen people. He noted that the image was subsequently deleted and replaced with a version where the sunglasses were cropped out.

Another point of contention Soboroff addressed was the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. The pool, which underwent renovations costing over $14 million in taxpayer funds, began to show peeling on its new bottom shortly after completion, and its water turned green with algae. Trump had blamed vandals for the issue and claimed the algae was gone. However, Soboroff's visit to the pool found the water remained "very, very, very algae green."
