Missing Woman Allegedly Strangled on Camera by Pornographer, Family Claims
Authorities are investigating a connection between deceased adult film maker Ray Horsch and at least five missing women, with evidence suggesting some may be deceased.
A family member of Nicole Fusaro, who vanished in 2018 at the age of 27, claims she was strangled on camera in a video filmed by deceased adult film maker Ray Horsch.
Fusaro is one of at least five missing women connected to Horsch's former home in Philadelphia. Investigators have told NBC10 they believe the woman in the video is Fusaro, though she has not been officially identified. Police suspect at least three of the women, including Fusaro, Maribel Fresses, and Gabrielle Amarando, are deceased.
Fresses disappeared in 2018 at age 27, and Amarando vanished in 2012 at age 22. None of their bodies have been recovered.
Horsch, who died last year at 82, was known for producing violent pornography and writing erotic books. His ex-wife, Amy McHale, also disappeared in June 2016.
The investigation into Horsch began in June 2026 when his son, Eugene Horsch, 44, was stopped by police. A woman in the car identified herself as Blair Tonzelli, who had been missing since 2023. Eugene Horsch allegedly told investigators that Tonzelli would "never be seen again."
Subsequent searches of Horsch's former Olney home uncovered illegal firearms, a fake FBI badge, a marijuana cultivation operation, and five urns containing cremated remains. More extensive searches revealed over 50 hard drives containing hundreds of thousands of images and videos.
Investigators reportedly found graphic content on the hard drives depicting Fresses and Amarando alive, followed by depictions of their deceased bodies. Families of Fresses and Amarando were notified in August.
Ricardo Fresses, Maribel's father, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that he had long suspected his daughter was dead.
Families of the women indicated they struggled with drug addiction, and Horsch allegedly offered drugs, money, and shelter in exchange for nude photo and video sessions. Investigators also discovered a home laboratory with containers of an unknown oily substance, which has been sent for testing. Some who knew Horsch reported he bragged about killing people and disposing of bodies with chemicals.
Philadelphia Police Inspector Raymond Evers stated that the digital evidence collected represents only a small fraction of the total evidence seized. However, the investigation is hampered by the lack of recovered human remains, blood, or DNA, which prevents the Medical Examiner's Office from officially declaring the women deceased.
Eugene Horsch is currently in federal custody on illegal gun possession charges. Authorities have not publicly stated whether he or his father are suspected perpetrators in the disappearances. Philadelphia police are asking for public assistance and have provided a tip line.
